The Product Manager – Paint is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and management of Dent Wizard’s paint, ensuring they meet market needs and align with the company's business objectives. This role involves deep industry knowledge, technical expertise, operational, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments to deliver high-quality products that enhance the performance, durability, and aesthetic appeal of paint coatings.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Development:
· Develop and implement a comprehensive product roadmap for DW paint products, aligning with market trends, customer demands, and company objectives.
· Conduct in-depth market research to understand customer needs, emerging trends, and competitive landscape in the automotive coatings industry.
· Collaborate with Research & Development team to innovate and improve paint formulations, focusing on color accuracy, durability, environmental compliance, and application efficiency.
· Define product specifications and requirements, ensuring alignment with automotive industry standards and regulations.
Product Lifecycle Management:
· Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept to launch, including ongoing product enhancements and end-of-life planning.
· Monitor product performance through key metrics such as sales growth, market share, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
· Work closely with supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure timely production, quality control, and efficient distribution of automotive paint products.
Market Analysis and Positioning:
· Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for product differentiation and innovation.
· Develop and implement pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability, considering factors such as cost of materials, production, and market demand.
· Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling product positioning, messaging, and promotional strategies that highlight the unique benefits of the automotive paint products.
Performance Metrics and Reporting:
· Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success, including revenue targets, market penetration, and customer retention.
· Provide regular reports to senior management on product performance, market trends, and strategic recommendations for product adjustments.
· Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions that optimize product performance and drive business growth.
Qualifications:
· Education: High School education. Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience
· Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in the automotive paint or coatings
· Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive paint technologies, including coatings, primers, clear coats, and color matching.
· Market Insight: Deep knowledge of the automotive industry, including OEM requirements, aftermarket trends, and regulatory landscape.
· Skills:
o Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills.
o Strong project management abilities, with experience managing complex, cross-functional projects.
o Proficient presentation skills
o Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
o Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.

Working Conditions:
· Travel: Extensive travel required
· Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. This position is primarily paid on highly incentivized commission structure.
The starting compensation is expected to be:
$120,000.00 - $135,000.00We offer a competitive & comprehensive benefit package including: paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and 401k match (50% on the dollar up to 7% of employee contribution).
